Description
This second phase targets the widening of a road to improve access from Yangon to Thilawa, in order to accommodate the growing development of the Thilawa district, due to the establishment of the Special Economic Zone in Thilawa. The project is intended to develop necessary infrastructure in the Thilawa area in order to promote foreign direct investment and contribute to job creation and economic development of the Greater Yangon area. The four main aspects of this project include the widening and renovation of an 8.7km road section, training, consulting, and improvements to other traffic-related facilities concerning this stretch.
