Description

The Kerch Strait Bridge is a bridge under construction by the Russian Federation to connect the annexed territory of Crimea with Russia's Krasnodar Krai through the Kerch Strait. The contract for the more than $3 billion construction was awarded to SGM Group, a group of companies owned by Arkady Rotenberg, a close Putin ally. SGM Group works primarily in the construction of oil pipelines and has no prior experience building bridges or transport infrastructure.
