New Thai Corridor to Connect 3.3B Consumers
The government of Thailand has outlined an ambitious plan to connect the country to 3.3 billion consumers throughout Southeast Asia, China, and the Indian subcontinent. About 80 percent of the government's planned spending, which involves the development of new roads, rail lines, free trade zones, and deep sea ports, will be concentrated in the recently rebranded Eastern Economic Corridor along the country's eastern seaboard.
